Consulting & Private Labels No matter what type of services your business may need, Motorcycle Management Consulting Services is there to help. Please click on one of the following consulting services available from MMCS to learn more.
![]() Consulting MMCS, Inc. works with dealers and manufacturers to develop products and programs that are designed to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty while generating additional revenue for the selling dealer.
We focus our efforts primarily in the area of Finance and Insurance (F&I) products. Developing these products is only the first step. Implementing a sales strategy and successfully integrating the products into the dealer’s sales process is also necessary for success.
Each manufacturer is different. Their goals in creating a program are different as well. Some are simply looking to provide their dealers with an additional revenue stream, while others are looking for ways to compensate their field staff through the promotion of a given program.
MMCS, Inc. is committed to developing programs that meet the needs of our unique and diverse customers.
![]() Dealer Participation We recognize that there are many options available to dealers interested in selling F&I products. Our products are available to dealer of all sizes – franchised and non-franchised alike.
Some dealers find themselves being approached too often by companies new to the powersports industry offering enticements that sound to good to be true. We value our dealer relationships and hope that our quality of service and customer service commitment will keep you engaged.
If your dealership has the volume to stand on its own – you think the amount of premium you generate far exceeds the claims your customers experience - then you may want to consider a risk free Dealer Participation (Retro) program.
This program enables us to separate your premium and claims from the overall book of business and track them separately. If the earned premium exceeds the claims paid on the units, with our service contract coverage, your dealership sold, you receive a refund of the difference.
Please feel free to call us to discuss a possible Dealer Participation arrangement with your dealership(s).
![]() Private Label Programs How would you like a Service Contract or Etch program with your name on it? Branding is one way a dealership can stand out from the competition. In some cases it makes sense to take this branding into the F&I area. MMCS can develop a private label program for your dealership – with your name on it.
When developing a Private Label program there are many things to consider. Our forty plus years of experience in the powersports industry enables us to offer insight in many areas. We can help determine what type of coverage will work best for you and your customers. You may want to have special coverage terms for some products. With a Private Label program, the choices are yours to make.
With a Private Label program developed and administered by MMCS, you and your customers will still enjoy national coverage, toll-free assistance, fully insured coverage and the peace of mind that comes with the Aftercare products. Please click here to learn more about the Private Label option.
![]() Reinsurance Opportunities You may have been approached and may be considering the idea of a PORC (Producer Owned Reinsurance Company), PARC (Producer Affiliated Reinsurance Company) or CFC (Controlled Foreign Corporation) for your Service Contract business. These terms are all used to describe the popular concept that allows a dealer principal to form an off-shore reinsurance company to reinsure the service contract risk and enjoy the benefits of owning an insurance company.
The type of company described here, although formed off-shore, is not a full fledged off-shore company - as that term is traditionally used. A true off-shore company – where the funds are held in another country - is not a practical scenario for service contract business. Instead a PORC is a something like a cross between a domestic insurer and a true off-shore insurer.
With a PORC the company is formed outside of the United States, but all funds remain in the US subject to US investment and tax regulations. Please click here to learn more about PORCs.
![]() Training When dealers realize their F&I sales are less than desirable, they often determine that training is the solution.
Sometimes training – F&I training, sales training or a combination of both is an appropriate approach, but not always. It’s important to evaluate who you will be training. What are the person’s strengths? What seems to motivate the person? How long does he/she plan to be with the dealership? All too often we have heard of dealers spending time and money on training only to find that the trainee leaves the dealership with his/her new found knowledge to work at the car dealership down the street.
If you are a small to mid-size dealer, we strongly suggest that you review the Customer Care Center (CCC) which acts as the F&I sales person for your dealership. The CCC doesn’t go to lunch, doesn’t have days off and never takes vacation. Furthermore, the CCC does not discriminate by offering some products to one customer and no products to another.
If after reviewing the CCC you decide that training is the right approach for you, MMCS can assist you with on-site training and/or would be happy to suggest other avenues for training your employees.
Training resources are abundant from web-based programs to webinars and from training in a class room setting to one-on-one coaching.
Please feel free to contact us to discuss your training needs.
